A lesson in humility

Learning how to play an instrument as an adult is very intimidating. My guitar callouses are in their tiny fetal stages and it still hurts to play the simplest things.

Like the lick for "Cow Town Boogie" courtesy of an acoustic theory book.

I was starting to master it when a five year old piano prodigy appeared on Leno at that exact moment.

I OWN the D chord.

It's the b and f chords that won't make nice;)

The only song I know on the guitar is Smoke on the Water. And the only thing I can play on the piano is the opening to Sesame Street. Bertolt Brecht function. Bertold Brecht and Kurt Weil.
